Blossom is a site-specific interactive light installation.

As dusk settles, the trees come alive with glowing halos gently encircling tree trunks, radiating in soft yellows, blues, and pinks—mirroring the delicate hues of spring flowers. This installation captures the essence of renewal, evoking childhood memories spent among nature's blooms. Furthermore, the structure of the light element in the installation takes inspiration from the Lunar New Year 2025: the year of Snake 🐍. The artwork spans over the 100 meter along a picturesque banks of river in Yuejin township.

But Blossom is not just to be observed—it invites visitors to engage. As visitors move their hand under the interaction hotspot, their presence subtly influences the halos, causing them to shimmer and shift, mimicking the way nature responds to touch and movement. This interaction with the artwork creates a dynamic, ever-evolving experience, making each encounter with the installation unique. The interactivity is enabled by the ultrasound depth sensor embedded in a custom 3D-printed housing.
